Governor Banwarilal Purohit orders appointment of R. Jagannathan as Periyar University Vice Chancellor
- Prof. R. Jagannathan has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Salem Periyar University by Governor of Tamil Nadu Banwarilal Purohit. Jagannathan will hold the post for 3 years from the date of taking office.
- Professor Jayanathan has 39 years of experience as a professor. He has been the Dean of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore and the Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology. He has served as Chairman and Member of the University Academic Committee.
