Rs 5,650 crore scheme to help small traders and farmers - Kerala State Government Announcement
- Kerala has announced a Rs 5,650 crore financial assistance scheme to help small businesses and farmers, Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal said. Under the scheme, loans will be provided at interest subsidy to small traders and farmers. A maximum of Rs. Loans up to Rs 2 lakh are available. For the first six months, 4 per cent interest will be charged.
- Apart from this, the state government has also announced schemes including loan waivers and low interest rate loans.
- It has been decided to waive the rent for the period from July to December this year for small and marginal traders who have shops in state-owned buildings. He also said that building tax exemption would be given to small, micro, micro and medium enterprises from July to December 31.
