Ibrahim Raisi becomes President of Iran
- Iran's Chief Justice Ibrahim Raisi Amoka won a landslide victory in Friday's Adibah rally in Iran. With the support of the country's chief cleric, Ayatollah Khamenei, Awwa won the preliminary round of voting with 1.78 million votes, the lowest turnout in Iran's history.
- After taking office as President of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi will be the first US President to impose sanctions on Iran before taking office. The United States has imposed sanctions on him for being a member of a commission of inquiry that ordered the execution of a number of political prisoners in 1988.

- This information was provided by the Indian Software Technology Park Organization (STPI). According to the organization, 12,234 jobs have been created in Andhra Pradesh under a scheme launched by the central government to create IT jobs in small towns.
- In Tamil Nadu, 9,401 people have got IT and BPO jobs through this scheme. STPI has recently reported that 40,000 jobs have been created in the IT and BPO sectors in small towns in India, of which 38% of the beneficiaries are women.
- The Center for Science and the Environment in Delhi has released a list of 10 state capitals suitable for living in a study. The list is based on 4 criteria: quality of life, economic viability, sustainability and public perception.
- The list of cities suitable for living was published, measuring 35 points for quality of life, 15 points for economic efficiency, 20 points for sustainability and 30 points for population perception for a total of 100 points.
- Bangalore topped the list of cities for easy living with 66.7%, according to an average calculation based on the opinion of various parties. Chennai came in second with 62.61%, followed by Shimla, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Delhi and Bhopal Raipur.
