• அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழிலக ஆய்வு மன்றம் / COUNCIL OF SCIENTIFIC AND INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH - CSIR: அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழிலக ஆய்வு மன்றம் (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - CSIR) தன்னாட்சி அரசு அமைப்பாகும். 
• இது இந்தியாவின் அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில் அமைச்சகத்தின் பங்களிப்புடன் நாட்டின் ஆய்வுமற்றும் தொழில் வளர்ச்சியில் ஒரு முன்மாதிரி அமைப்பாகும். 
• இது 1942 ஆம் ஆண்டு மத்திய நாடாளுமன்றம் (Central Legislative Assembly) எடுத்த தீர்மானத்தின் படி, 1860 சமூகச் சட்டத்தின் கீழ் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டது. 
• இது நாடு முழுவதும் 39 ஆய்வகங்களையும் மற்றும் 50 களப்பணி நிலையங்களையும் கொண்டுள்ளது. இதில் 17000 மேற்பட்ட பணியாளர்கள் பணிபுரிகின்றனர்.
• இதன் ஆய்வு மற்றும் வளர்ச்சிப் பணிகளின் துறைகளாக விண்வெளிப் பொறியியல் (Aerospace Engineering), கட்டப்பொறியியல் (Structural Engineering), கடல் அறிவியல், மூலக்கூறு உயிரியல், மாழையியல், வேதி, சுரங்கம், உணவு, பெட்ரோலியம், தோல் மற்றும் சூழல் ஆகியனவற்றில் ஆளுகைச் செலுத்தி வருகின்றன

• COUNCIL OF SCIENTIFIC AND INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH - CSIR: Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is an autonomous government body. It is a model organization in the country's research and industrial development with the contribution of the Ministry of Science and Industry of India.
• It was registered under the Social Act of 1860 as per a resolution passed by the Central Legislative Assembly in 1942. It has 39 laboratories and 50 field stations across the country. It employs more than 17000 employees.
• Its areas of research and development work include aerospace engineering, structural engineering, marine science, molecular biology, meteorology, chemistry, mining, food, petroleum, leather and environment.
