• வாகன ஆராய்ச்சி மேம்பாட்டு தொழிலகம் / VEHICLE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ESTABLISHMENT: வாகன ஆராய்ச்சி மேம்பாட்டு தொழிலகம் (Vehicle Research and Development Establishment) என்பது இந்தியாவின் பாதுகாப்பு ஆராய்ச்சி மற்றும் வளர்ச்சி அமைப்பின் (டி. ஆர். டீ. ஓ) கீழ் செயல்படும் ஒரு ஆராய்ச்சி மையமாகும். 
• இது மகாராட்டிர மாநிலத்தில் அஹ்மத்நகர் மாவட்டத்தில் வாகன் நகர் என்ற இடத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது. 
• இந்தியாவின் பாதுகாப்புத் தேவைகளைக் கணக்கில் கொண்டு இந்த ஆராய்ச்சி மையம் இலகுவான தடம் கொண்ட வாகனங்கள், சுழலும் சக்கரங்கள் கொண்ட வாகனங்கள், பீரங்கி வாகனங்கள், போன்ற அதி நவீன வாகனங்களை ஆராய்ச்சிகள் மூலம் உருவாக்குவதில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர். 
• இந்த மையத்தின் முக்கியமான நோக்கம், காலாட்ப்டைக்கு உகந்த போரிடும் வாகனங்கள், இலகுவான கவச தாக்குதல் வாகனங்கள், சுழலும் பட்டைகளுடன் கூடிய சக்கரங்களை தரையில் இழுத்துச் செல்லும் கவச வாகனங்கள் ஆகியவற்றை பல்வேறு பயன்பாடுகளுக்குத் தகுந்தவாறு வடிவமைத்து அமைத்து இந்திய இராணுவப் படையினருக்கு வழங்குவதாகும்.

• VEHICLE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ESTABLISHMENT: The Vehicle Research and Development Establishment is a research center under the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) of India. It is located at Vaughan Nagar in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra state.
• Keeping India's defense needs in mind, this research center is engaged in developing ultra-modern vehicles such as light tracked vehicles, rotary wheeled vehicles, artillery vehicles, etc. through research.
• An important objective of the center is to design and manufacture various applications of infantry fighting vehicles, light armored assault vehicles, and wheeled armored vehicles with rotating tracks to the Indian Army.
