Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh lays the foundation stone for five expansion projects worth Rs 3,500 crore of GRSE and YIL
- Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and West Bengal Chief Minister Shri Suvendu Adhikari jointly laid the foundation stones for three expansion projects of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE) and two projects of Yantra India Limited (YIL).
- They laid the foundation stones for these projects via video conferencing from GRSE Bhavan in Kolkata today (August 23, 2026). These projects are set to be implemented with a total investment of approximately Rs 3,500 crore.
- West Bengal Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Agarwal, Secretary (Defence Production) Shri Sanjeev Kumar, GRSE Chairman and Managing Director Commodore Shri P.R. Hari, YIL Chairman Shri Vijaykumar Iyer, and senior officials from both companies participated in the event.
