• தாய்மாமன் தங்க மோதிரம் திட்டம் / THAIMAMAN THANGA MOTHIRAM THITTAM: தமிழகத்தில் அரசு மருத்துவமனைகளில் பிறக்கும் குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் தாய்மார்களின் நலனை மேம்படுத்துவதுடன், தமிழர் பாரம்பரியத்தைப் போற்றும் வகையில் புதிய நலத்திட்டம் ஒன்றை தமிழக அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது. 
• முதலமைச்சர் விஜய் தலைமையில் ஒப்புதல் பெற்றுள்ள 'வெற்றித் தமிழகம்' தொலைநோக்கு திட்டங்களின் ஒரு பகுதியாக 'தாய்மாமன் தங்க மோதிரம் திட்டம்' அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• இந்த திட்டத்தின் கீழ், தமிழ்நாட்டில் நிரந்தரமாக வசிக்கும் குடும்பங்களைச் சேர்ந்த தாய்மார்கள் அரசு மருத்துவமனைகளில் பிரசவிக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு குழந்தைக்கும் 1 கிராம் தங்க மோதிரம் வழங்கப்படும். 
• தமிழர் பாரம்பரியத்தில் உள்ள 'தாய்மாமன் சீர்' என்ற மரபை பிரதிபலிக்கும் வகையில், தமிழக அரசே தாய்மாமனின் பங்கை ஏற்று இந்த பரிசை வழங்குகிறது.
• தமிழக அரசு வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிவிப்பின்படி, ஆண்டுதோறும் ரூ.755.83 கோடி நிதி ஒதுக்கீட்டில் இத்திட்டம் செயல்படுத்தப்பட உள்ளது. மேலும், 2026 ஜூன் 22 முதல் அரசு மருத்துவமனைகளில் பிறக்கும் அனைத்து குழந்தைகளும் இத்திட்டத்தின் பயனாளிகளாக கருதப்படுவர். 
• பேரறிஞர் அண்ணாவின் பிறந்தநாளான செப்டம்பர் 15, 2026 அன்று முதலமைச்சர் விஜய் இந்த திட்டத்தை அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக தொடங்கி வைக்க உள்ளார்.
• தமிழகத்தில் ஏற்கனவே கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களுக்கான நிதியுதவி, இலவச மகப்பேறு சிகிச்சை, புதிதாகப் பிறந்த குழந்தைகளுக்கான பராமரிப்பு சேவைகள், ஊட்டச்சத்து திட்டங்கள் மற்றும் PICME உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு தாய்-சேய் நலத் திட்டங்கள் வெற்றிகரமாக செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. 
• அந்த வரிசையில், தாய்மை மற்றும் குழந்தைப் பிறப்பை சிறப்பிக்கும் வகையில் 'தாய்மாமன் தங்க மோதிரம் திட்டம்' முக்கியமான திட்டமாக கருதப்படுகிறது. 
• அரசு மருத்துவமனைகளின் மீது மக்களின் நம்பிக்கையை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்துவதோடு, குழந்தையின் பிறப்பை நினைவுகூரும் அடையாளமாகவும் இந்த திட்டம் அமையும் என தமிழக அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

• THAIMAMAN THANGA MOTHIRAM THITTAM: The Tamil Nadu government has announced a new welfare scheme designed to improve the well-being of mothers and infants in government hospitals while also honoring Tamil cultural traditions. 
• The 'Thaimaman Thanga Mothiram' (Maternal Uncle's Gold Ring) scheme has been introduced as part of the 'Vetri Tamilagam' vision initiatives approved under the leadership of Chief Minister Vijay.
• Under this scheme, a one-gram gold ring will be presented for every baby born in a government hospital to families permanently residing in Tamil Nadu. 
• By presenting this gift, the state government assumes the role of the maternal uncle, thereby reflecting the traditional Tamil custom known as 'Thaimaman Seer' (customary gifts from the maternal uncle).
• According to the government announcement, the scheme will be implemented with an annual financial allocation of ₹755.83 crore. Furthermore, all babies born in government hospitals from June 22, 2026, onwards will be eligible for this scheme. 
• Chief Minister Vijay is set to officially launch the initiative on September 15, 2026, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Perarignar Anna.
• Tamil Nadu already successfully implements various maternal and child health initiatives, including financial assistance for pregnant women, free maternity care, neonatal care services, nutrition programs, and the PICME system. 
• In this context, the 'Thaimaman Thanga Mothiram' scheme is regarded as a significant initiative that celebrates motherhood and childbirth. 
• The state government has stated that this scheme will not only strengthen public trust in government hospitals but also serve as a cherished memento commemorating the child's birth.
