Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi lays foundation stone of Kota Airport
- The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today (07.03.2026) participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony of Kota Airport and laid the foundation stone of the airport through video conferencing.
- Speaking on the national aviation sector, the Prime Minister said that the number of airports has increased from 70 in 2014 to over 160 now.
- The India-UK Conference on Standards and Safety Practices for Green Hydrogen was held in New Delhi on 27th February. The conference aims to enhance cooperation for safe and large-scale use of green hydrogen under India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.
- The conference was jointly organised by the National Hydrogen Security Centre under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the British Embassy in India and WRI India. It was attended by a large number of participants from government, industry, academia and research institutions.
- The conference discussed issues such as how to ensure safety in hydrogen production, storage, transportation and use, and how to align Indian standards with international standards.
- Experts also shared their views on safety regulations, risk assessment, safe design in hydrogen systems, and innovations such as new sensor technologies and monitoring through artificial intelligence.
- At the end of the conference, India and the UK expressed their commitment to further strengthen cooperation to develop green hydrogen technologies safely and on a large scale. This is expected to help the growth of the green hydrogen sector in India.
