Tamil Nadu Cabinet approves 15 investment projects
- A meeting of the Tamil Nadu Cabinet was held today at the Chennai Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. All ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, participated in this meeting.
- Meanwhile, the cabinet headed by Chief Minister Stalin has approved the interim budget to be presented in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. The interim budget of the Tamil Nadu government is expected to be presented in the Legislative Assembly soon.
- In this meeting, approval was given to 15 investment projects, involving a total investment of Rs. 34,237.39 crore, which will create employment opportunities for 55,096 people.
- Senior BJP leader Yumnam Khemchand Singh was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Manipur. Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla administered the oath of office and secrecy to him.
- To maintain social balance in the coalition government, BJP MLA Nemcha Kipgen from the Kuki community and Naga People's Front MLA L. Dikho were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers.
- Nemcha Kipgen took the oath of office virtually from Manipur Bhavan in Delhi. Also, BJP's Govindas Konthoujam and NPP's K. Logan Singh took charge as ministers.
