- The establishment of neo tidal parks in 3 districts will provide employment to 1,800 people. A neo tidal park is to be set up in Gangapuram village in Erode district at a cost of Rs. 39.87 crore.
- Mini tidal parks are being set up in Rediyarpatti at a cost of Rs. 39.06 crore and in Koohaikundu village in Virudhunagar at a cost of Rs. 38.72 crore.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a state visit to Israel, was warmly welcomed by his country's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in person.
