Startup India Fund 2.0 launched with Rs 10,000 crore - PM Modi approves
- On his first day at the new office of the Prime Minister, Seva Theertham, Prime Minister Modi signed files for the empowerment of the poor, farmers and women. In this, he also approved the Startup India Fund 2.0 scheme with a contribution of Rs 10,000 crore.
- In a statement issued by the Union Food Ministry, "After a detailed assessment of the current stability and price situation, the government has approved the export of 25 lakh tonnes of wheat.
- This includes an additional 5 lakh tonnes of wheat products and sugar. This reaffirms the government's commitment to protecting the interests of farmers.
- Wheat stocks with private companies in 2025-2026 are about 75 lakh tonnes. This is an increase of nearly 32 lakh tonnes compared to the same period last year.
- This indicates a comfortable supply situation in the country. The total availability of wheat in the central pool with the Food Corporation of India as on April 1, 2026 is expected to be around 182 lakh tonnes.
