KLA India signs MoU in presence of Chief Minister to set up Research and Innovation Centre in Chennai
- KLA India, a subsidiary of KLA Corporation, today signed a MoU in presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to set up a Research and Development and Innovation Complex in Chennai with an investment commitment of Rs. 3,600 crore.
- The complex, spread over 12 acres, will house advanced research and innovation in the fields of high-performance computing, computer technology, process control, and engineering software. This is expected to generate around 4,000 high-quality jobs in the next 10 years.
- The Central and State Archaeological Departments have been jointly carrying out excavation work in Keezhadi, Sivaganga district, in several phases for the past few years. Many important items including ancient Tamil settlements, building systems, tools, pottery, and ornaments were found in those excavations.
- These studies have brought out solid evidence that the Tamil civilization was very ancient and had an advanced urban lifestyle. Considering its importance, the Tamil Nadu government has decided to preserve the excavated areas and bring them to the public for viewing.
- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had announced that an open-air museum would be set up in Keezhadi. Funds have been allocated for this and work has been underway on an area of 67,348 square feet, which was inaugurated today.
- The archaeological artifacts found during the world-famous excavations at Keezhadi are on display and on display in the museum set up by the Tamil Nadu government.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new building of the Prime Minister's Office, Seva Teerth and Karthavya Bhavan 1 and 2, in Delhi. The new phase of the Prime Minister's Office is called "Seva Teerth" (Place of Service) and is also known as Karthavya Bhavan (Central Government Secretariat).
- Moreover, Karthavya Bhavan 1 and 2 house key ministries such as Law, Defence, Finance, Health, Agriculture and many more.
