Ashes 2026 Series - Australia Champions
- The 5th and final match of the Ashes series was held in Sydney. England, who won the toss, chose to bat first. England were all out for 384 runs in their first innings. Following this, Australia were all out for 567 runs in their first innings.
- Then, England, batting in their second innings, were all out for 342 runs in 88.2 overs. This set a target of 160 runs for Australia to win. Australia chased down this target in 31.2 overs, losing only 5 wickets. Thus, Australia won by 5 wickets. With this victory, they clinched the 5-match series 4-1.
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi chaired a consultative meeting of Indian Artificial Intelligence (AI) startups at his residence in New Delhi this morning.
- With the India AI Impact Summit 2026 scheduled to be held in India next month, representatives from 12 Indian AI startups, who have qualified to participate in the summit, attended this consultative meeting and presented their views and work.
- CEOs/Heads/Representatives of Indian AI startups including Avatar, BharatGen, Genloop, Sarvam, Shodh AI, Tech Mahindra, and GenTech, along with Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State Shri Jitin Prasada, participated in the meeting.
