Three Buddhist sites in Odisha added to UNESCO list
- The three Buddhist sites of Ratnagiri, Udayagiri, and Lalitgiri in Odisha are known as the 'Diamond Triangle' of Odisha. They contain monasteries, stupas, sculptures, and inscriptions that highlight Odisha's significant role in spreading Buddhism.
- Now, the Buddhist sites of Ratnagiri, Udayagiri, and Lalitgiri have been officially added to UNESCO's tentative list of World Heritage Sites.
