President released the Indian Constitution in the Santali language

  • President Smt. Droupadi Murmu released the Indian Constitution in the Santali language today (December 25, 2025). She released the book at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan and Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal were present at the event.
  • Santali language, which was included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution through the 92nd Amendment Act of 2003, is one of the oldest languages ​​of India. This language is still spoken by a significant number of tribal people in the states of Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow
  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, commemorating the life and ideals of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
  • Speaking at the event, which marked the 101st birth anniversary of Shri Vajpayee, the Prime Minister noted that the soil of Lucknow is witnessing a new inspiration today. He extended Christmas greetings to the nation and the world.
  • Shri Modi highlighted that millions of Christian families in India are also celebrating this festival today. He emphasized that this Christmas celebration should bring joy to everyone's lives, and that is the collective wish of all.
  • The Rashtra Prerna Sthal has been developed as a significant national monument and an inspiring complex of lasting national importance. Built at a cost of approximately ₹230 crore on a 65-acre site, this complex is envisioned as a permanent national asset dedicated to fostering leadership qualities, national service, cultural awareness, and inspiring the public.
  • The complex features 65-foot-tall bronze statues of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. 
  • These symbolize their significant contributions to India's political thought, nation-building, and public life. It also houses a state-of-the-art museum designed in the shape of a lotus, spanning approximately 98,000 square feet. 
  • This museum showcases India's national journey and the contributions of these visionary leaders through advanced digital and cutting-edge technologies, providing visitors with an engaging and educational experience.
