First indigenously built anti-submarine warfare ship INS Mahe commissioned into the Navy

• The first indigenously built anti-submarine warfare ship INS Mahe was commissioned into the Navy on 24 November 2025 at the Naval Base in Mumbai. The ceremony was presided over by the Chief of Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi.
• The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Western Fleet, Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, senior naval officers, representatives of the Cochin Shipbuilding Corporation and special guests.
• Built by the Cochin Shipbuilding Corporation in Kochi, INS Mahe is the lead ship among the 8 ships it has designed. The ship has been designed using the expertise of Bell, L&T Defence, Mahindra Defence Systems, NPOL and over 20 MSMEs.
• INS Mahe is built with more than 80 percent indigenous technology and is a shining symbol of India's self-reliance. The construction of the ship is a testament to the Indian Navy's continued efforts to promote indigenization.

India wins the Women's T20 World Cup 2025 for the Blind

• The Women's T20 World Cup for the Blind cricket matches were held in New Delhi, Bengaluru and Sri Lanka. The Indian team, which defeated Australia in the semi-finals of the series, faced Nepal in the final. 
• India won the toss and elected to bowl. Batting first, Nepal scored 114/5 in 20 overs. Saritha Kimre top-scored for Nepal with 35 runs. Anukumari and Jamuna Rani took 1 wicket each for India. 
• The Indian women's team also impressed by getting 3 run-outs. India won by 7 wickets after scoring 117/3 in 12.1 overs. India's Beulah Saran top-scored with 44 not out. India has created history by winning this T20 World Cup for the first time.

Suryakanth takes oath as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

• Suryakanth took oath as the 53rd Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath to him. Suryakanth will hold the office of Chief Justice till February 2027.
• In 2018, he took oath as the Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court. In 2019, Kant took oath as a judge of the Supreme Court of India. He was a judge in the bench that heard many important cases including the Bihar Voter List Amendment and the Pegasus Spyware Case
