Gram Sabha meetings were held in all villages across Tamil Nadu
- Gram Sabha meetings were held in all villages across Tamil Nadu. Chief Minister Stalin addressed the villagers via video conferencing. This is the first time in the history of Tamil Nadu that a Gram Sabha meeting has been held on such a large scale, connecting more than 10,000 panchayats through the internet.
- Gram Sabha meetings are a time to make people realize the importance of democracy. The government's aim is to give the villagers the right to participate in the administration of the panchayat. That is why Gram Sabha meetings are held 6 times a year.
- In the Gram Sabha meetings held in 12,480 panchayats across Tamil Nadu on Saturday, a total of 16 important resolutions were passed in the Gram Sabhas, including the approval of the Gram Sabha to prepare a village development plan and carry out work in the panchayats selected under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana for the year 2025-26.
- On behalf of the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Global Innovation Conference began at Kodisia Arena, Peelamedu, Coimbatore, as an effort to improve the innovation environment of Tamil Nadu to a world-class level and to create international connections for the innovation companies and innovators of Tamil Nadu.
- This was inaugurated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. The conference was held for the second day yesterday and concluded in the evening. In this, more than a thousand exhibition halls were set up.
- At this conference, MoUs were signed with 23 multinational companies including France's Link Innovations, Philippines' Tech Shack, Germany's Asia Berlin Borum, South Korea's Unicorn Incubator, Canada's RXN Hub, Blue Ocean and Lowes India. Further, investments worth over Rs. 130 crore were confirmed through discussions with over 250 investors who attended the conference.
- The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today (11.10.2025) participated in a special agriculture event held at the Indian Institute of Agricultural Research in New Delhi. Before participating in the public event, the Prime Minister interacted with farmers.
- The Prime Minister inaugurated two major projects worth ₹ 35,440 crore in the agriculture sector. He launched the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana at a cost of ₹ 24,000 crore.
- He also launched a drive to achieve self-reliance in pulses at a cost of ₹ 11,440 crore. The Prime Minister also inaugurated and dedicated to the nation projects worth over ₹ 5,450 crore in the agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries and food processing sectors. At the same time, he laid the foundation stone for additional projects worth about ₹ 815 crore.
