PM Narendra Modi inaugurates Semicon India 2025 in New Delhi
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated Semicon India – 2025, an event aimed at boosting India’s semiconductor industry, at Yasobhumi in New Delhi. The three-day conference, Semicon India 2025, to be held from September 2 to 4, will focus on a strong and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem in India.
  • It will also highlight initiatives to be implemented through the Design-Linked Incentives Scheme, growth of the innovation ecosystem, international collaborations and the future plans for India’s semiconductor industry.
  • The conference will witness the participation of over 2,500 delegates from 48 countries, over 150 speakers including 50 global leaders, and over 350 exhibitors, with a total of 20,750 participants. 
  • It will also feature roundtable discussions from 6 countries. There will also be platforms for employee and startup development.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches Bihar State Livelihood Credit Cooperative Federation
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Bihar State Livelihood Credit Cooperative Federation through video conferencing. The event was attended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha.
  • Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that a highly promising initiative has been launched on this auspicious Tuesday. He announced that the Livelihood Credit Cooperative Federation will provide new facilities to the mothers and brothers and sisters of Bihar.
India-Thailand Joint Military Exercise in Meghalaya
  • The 14th India-Thailand Joint Military Exercise 'Maitri' began on September 1 in Umrai, Meghalaya. The bilateral exercise, which will continue till September 14, will see the exchange of current plans between the two militaries. 
  • 120 soldiers from the Indian Army and 53 soldiers from the Thai Army are participating in this joint exercise. The 13th joint military exercise was held at Fort Wachiraprakan in Tak Province, Thailand.
