Chennai One app launched by CM MK Stalin
  • In India's first ever mobile app to connect all public transport services, 'Chennai One', which can be used on iOS and Android platforms, was launched by Chief Minister MK Stalin. This app integrates buses, electric trains, metro trains, taxis and autos through a single 'QR' ticket. 
  • Through this, the public can know the real-time movements of buses, metro trains and electric trains, get tickets through UPI or payment cards, and travel on all modes of transport through a single travel record.
  • This app has been developed to be used by people in multiple languages ​​​​such as English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada. The 'Chennai One' app is an important initiative in public transport services. Now the public does not need to wait in queues to get tickets. It is said that through this app, they can easily pay the fare, get the ticket and travel.

  • To harness the vast hydropower potential of the region and promote sustainable energy generation, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of two major hydropower projects worth over Rs. 3,700 crore in Itanagar. The Heyo Hydropower Project (240 MW) and the Dado-i Hydropower Project (186 MW) will be developed in the Siom sub-basin of Arunachal Pradesh.
  • The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of a state-of-the-art convention centre in Tawang. Situated at an altitude of over 9,820 feet in the Tawang border district, the centre will serve as a landmark facility for hosting national and international conferences, cultural festivals and exhibitions. With a capacity to host over 1,500 delegates, the centre will meet global standards and support the tourism and cultural potential of the region.
  • The Prime Minister also inaugurated several major infrastructure projects worth over Rs 1,290 crore, catering to various sectors including connectivity, healthcare, fire safety, working women’s hostels. These initiatives are expected to boost economic activity, improve the quality of life and improve connectivity in the region.
