PM Narendra Modi inaugurates development projects worth over Rs 9,000 crore in Aizawl, Mizoram
- The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 9,000 crore in Aizawl, Mizoram.
- He also laid the foundation stone for new projects. Mizoram Governor General V.K. Singh, Chief Minister Shri Lalduhoma, Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav and others were present on the occasion.
- The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today inaugurated several development projects worth over Rs 7,300 crore in Surasantpur, Manipur and laid the foundation stone for new projects
- Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that Manipur is a land of courage and determination. Saluting the enthusiasm of the people of Manipur, Mr. Modi thanked the large turnout.
- He said that thousands of families in Manipur have benefited from the nationwide scheme to build sturdy houses for the poor and nearly 60,000 houses have already been built.
- He said that a special package of about Rs 3,000 crore has been announced recently and Rs 500 crore has been allocated to help the displaced.
- The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated several development projects worth over Rs 1,200 crore in Imphal, Manipur. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that projects worth thousands of crores have been launched today for the development of Manipur.
- He said that these projects will make life easier for the people and strengthen infrastructure in the region. The Prime Minister said that new jobs will be created for the youth of Manipur.
- Manipur's development is essential to achieve the goal of a developed India in the 21st century. The Prime Minister said that Manipur is full of boundless possibilities. He said that it is the collective responsibility of everyone to remain steadfast on the path of development.
- The Prime Minister concluded his speech by expressing the hope that Manipur will become a powerful hub of India's development. The Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, and other dignitaries attended the event.
- Isha Singh (20 years old) from Telangana won gold by 0.1 point over Chinese star athlete Yang Xiansun in the women's 10m. Air Rifle category held at the Ningbo Sports Complex in China.
- It is noteworthy that this is Isha's first gold in the World Cup. Indian athlete Isha Singh has won gold at the ISSF World Cup.
- In the women's 10m. Isha has made India proud by winning gold in the air rifle category. Olympic medalist Oh Yejin of South Korea won bronze.
- Isha's gold medal moved India to fifth place in the medal tally. China is at the top of the medal tally with 2 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze.
