First indigenously built auxiliary warship 'Nistar' handed over to the Navy
- The first indigenously designed and built auxiliary warship 'Nistar' was handed over to the Indian Navy by Hindustan Shipbuilding Corporation on July 8 in Visakhapatnam. The warship has been designed to be capable of deep-sea operations and rescue operations.
- The word 'Nistar' in Sanskrit means liberation, rescue, mercy. It is noteworthy that the ship has been named Nistar.
- The 10,000-ton ship is 118 m long and is built with state-of-the-art deep-sea swimming equipment. The ship is designed to go down to a depth of 300 m and carry out rescue operations in the deep sea area.
- The ship will be used to submerge in deep sea areas to safely evacuate the crew in the event of an emergency on board the submarine, and to carry out surveillance and rescue operations up to a depth of 1000 m.
- An Indian Air Force Jaguar fighter jet crashed during a training exercise near Churu district in Rajasthan. The horrific incident has caused great tension and shock among the local people. Witnesses said that the crash site was severely damaged and smoke and flames were seen rising.
- Recovery operations were immediately launched in response to the accident. The aircraft that crashed was a Jaguar, one of the main fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force. It is designed with cutting-edge technology and is used in training and combat operations.
- The President of Brazil, Mr. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, today conferred on Prime Minister Narendra Modi the highest national award of Brazil, “The Grand Collar of the National Order of the Southern Cross”.
- The Prime Minister expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the government and people of the country for this prestigious award.
- The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, visited Brazil on 8 July 2025 at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Brazil, Mr. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
- Subsequently, the two leaders decided to formulate a five-pronged strategic plan to further strengthen bilateral relations in the coming decades.
- In the meantime, 6 major agreements have been signed between the two countries.

- Agreement on cooperation in the field of intellectual property rights between the Ministry of Industry and Domestic Trade of India and the Secretariat for Competitiveness and Regulatory Policy of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Development of Brazil.
