- Chief Minister M.K. Stalin released the book "TIRUKKURAL- Treasure of Universal Wisdom" today (11.07.2025) at the Chief Secretariat, on behalf of the School Education Department.
- This book is being published by the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation under its Muthamizharignar Translation Project, in collaboration with the Chicago World Tamil Language Foundation.
- This Tirukkural book is a bilingual edition with a detailed explanation written by Tamilannal in an easy-to-read format, an English translation by P.S. Sundaram, and a painting by artist Maniyam Selvam for each chapter. This book will be very useful for those from other states, foreigners, students and the younger generation who want to learn Tirukkural.
- The government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to providing necessary assistance to all states affected by natural calamities such as landslides, floods, cloudbursts. In that regard, Rs. 1,066.80 crore has been approved to be provided to 6 states under the Disaster Relief Fund.
- Apart from financial assistance, the government's priority is to provide all logistical assistance to the states, including sending the necessary Disaster Response Force, Army and Air Force.
- In the six flood-hit states, Rs. 375.60 crore is being provided to Assam, Rs. 29.20 crore to Manipur, Rs. 30.40 crore to Meghalaya, Rs. 22.80 crore to Mizoram, Rs. 153.20 crore to Kerala and Rs. 455.60 crore to Uttarakhand.
