PM Modi inaugurates 103 redeveloped Amrit stations
  • The work of upgrading 508 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat scheme at a cost of Rs. 24,470 crore has been going on for a year. More than 40 railway stations are being upgraded in Southern Railway.
  • In this situation, with the work completed across the country, the Prime Minister inaugurated 103 redeveloped 'Amrit Stations' built at a cost of Rs. 1,100 crore in 86 districts in 18 states and union territories.
  • In Tamil Nadu, 9 Amrit Bharat stations were inaugurated - Chennai Parangimalai, Chamalpatti, Chidambaram, Tiruvannamalai, Mannargudi, Srirangam, Vriddhachalam, Polur and Kuzhithurai.
  • In Jharkhand, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated three redeveloped railway stations through video conferencing. The ceremony at Govindpur Road railway station in Kundi district was attended by State Land and Revenue Minister Deepak Priva, former Union Minister Arjun Munda and Torba member Sudivya Gudiya.
  • Three renovated railway stations including Kalyani Koshpara railway station, Bangar railway station and Joychandi Pahar railway station were inaugurated in West Bengal.
  • Mahe Amrit Bharat railway station was also inaugurated in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated Amrit railway stations in various states including Assam and Maharashtra through video conferencing.

  • The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 26,000 crore in Bikaner, Rajasthan, inaugurated the completed projects and dedicated the development projects to the nation.
  • Addressing the event, he welcomed the large gathering. He also welcomed a significant number of participants from 18 states and union territories via the internet.
First state in India to achieve 100% literacy - Mizoram
  • Mizoram is known to be the first state in India to achieve full literacy. The official announcement in this regard was made by the state Chief Minister Lal Duhomo. The state Chief Minister said this in the presence of the then Union Minister of State for Education Jayant Chowdhury at a function held at the University in Mizoram.
  • According to the 2011 census, the literacy rate of Mizoram was only 91.33 percent. It is noteworthy that at that time Mizoram had the 3rd highest literacy rate in the country.
