Scheme to provide internet service facility at 100 MBPS speed to homes at a monthly fee of Rs 200 - Tamil Nadu Government Announcement
- A debate was held in the Legislative Assembly on the subsidy request of the Information Technology and Digital Services Department. At that time, the Minister of Information Technology and Digital Services, P.T.R. Palanivel Thiagarajan, replied to the questions of the members.
- Speaking at that time, P.T.R. Palanivel Thiagarajan said that work has been carried out in the districts of Tamil Nadu through the Tamil Nadu Glass Leaf Network Company (TANFINET) and 92 percent of the work has been completed, connecting 11626 village panchayats in the state at a distance of 53 thousand 334 kilometers.
- Furthermore, the remaining work will be completed by the end of this year and through it, the scheme to provide internet service facility at 100 MBPS speed to homes at a monthly fee of Rs 200 will be implemented soon.
- Similarly, P.T.R. said that it has also been decided to integrate the services available at e-service centers through the WhatsApp application.
