  • He also laid the foundation stone for the Varanasi Ring Road, the Sarnath-Sarnath flyover, flyovers at the city's Biharipur and Manduwadi junctions, and a highway tunnel worth Rs 980 crore on National Highway 31 at Varanasi International Airport.
  • The Prime Minister also inaugurated two 400 KW and one 220 KW power distribution substations worth Rs 1,045 crore and the associated power transmission line projects.

India's Industrial Production Index grows by 2.9% in February
  • The growth rate of the Industrial Production Index for February 2025 is 2.9 percent. It was 5.0 percent in the previous month.
  • The growth rates of the three sectors - mining, manufacturing and power - are 1.6 percent, 2.9 percent and 3.6 percent respectively. The production indices of these sectors are 141.9, 148.6 and 194.0 respectively.

Long-range glide bomb test successful from SU-30 MKI aircraft
  • The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully conducted the test flight of the long-range glide bomb 'Gaurav' from SU-30 MKI aircraft between 08 and 10 April 2025. During the tests, the ability to accurately travel up to 100 km towards ground targets on the island was successfully demonstrated.
  • The LRGB 'Gaurav' is a 1,000 kg glide bomb. It was designed and developed indigenously by the Ordnance Research and Development Organisation, Imarat Research Centre and the Integrated Test Range.
