Chief Minister Stalin releases the documentary book 'Tamil Finance: Antiquity and Continuity'
- Tamil Chief Minister M.K. Stalin released the documentary book 'Tamil Finance: Antiquity and Continuity' prepared by the Finance Department of the Tamil Nadu Government and launched a special website for it (https://www.tamildigitallibrary.in/budget).
- It examines ancient trade, taxation systems, colonial-era financial management practices, and financial statements of modern Tamil Nadu.
- This book, which is full of rare information and data, provides an in-depth look at the history of the development of Tamil Finance over the centuries and the way in which Tamil Nadu's economic identity was shaped.
- This documentary book features articles by renowned scholars of Tamil Nadu from the fields of economics and history.
- At the invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Laxon is on a state visit to India from 16 to 20 March 2025.
