Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated the Mini Tidal Park in Thoothukudi
- Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated the Mini Tidal Park building in Thoothukudi district. The Mini Tidal Park has been built in Meelavittan with an area of 63,000 square feet and 4 floors at a cost of Rs. 32.50 crore with various features.
- Chief Minister MK Stalin has gone to Thoothukudi for a 3-day visit to conduct a field survey. As part of this, he inaugurated the Mini Tidal Park built in Meelavittan.
- The Mini Tidal Park has been set up with facilities including a variety of food stalls, parking, gym, art gallery, uninterrupted power supply.
- The Mini Tidal Park will create employment opportunities for thousands of youth. Thoothukudi MP Kanimozhi, Ministers TRP Raja, Geetha Jeevan and others were present at the event.
- In 2020, there was a fierce clash between Indian and Chinese troops on the banks of Pangong Lake. In this, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred. The conflict between the two countries, which had been going on for the past 4 years, recently ended following negotiations.
- It is noteworthy that the withdrawal of troops from the Depchang and Demchok areas last October was considered a major development in bilateral relations.

- Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, Commander of the 14 Corps Army Division based in Leh, Ladakh, inaugurated the statue on December 26.
