Kalaignar Padaippulagam Book released by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin
- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin released the book Kalaignar Padaippulagam written by writer Mr. Imaiyam today (17.12.2024) at the Chief Secretariat
- The Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation has been publishing special books on famous political personalities and writers under the title of Centenary Personality since 2022.
- In that order, the writer Imaiyam has compiled this book Kalaignar Padaippulagam. This book is a collection of selected excerpts from the novels, short stories, poems, articles, letters, travelogues, screenplays, film songs, justice for the heart, and speeches written by the artist.
- The book also contains articles written by 19 writers renowned across India. An article written by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is also included in this book. In this book, the year in which the books of the three Tamil scholars were written is also given in chronological order.
- The Constitution (129th Amendment) Bill 2024 and the Union Territories Laws (Amendment) Bill 2024, which provide for simultaneous elections to all state assemblies and union territories along with the national elections, were introduced in the Lok Sabha today (December 17).
- The results of the vote on the introduction of this bill in the Lok Sabha were announced by the Lok Sabha Speaker. It was announced that there were 269 votes in favor of this bill and 196 votes against it.
- Following this, the bill related to 'One Nation, One Election' was introduced by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. Following this, Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said that he would propose to constitute a JPC for the bill under Rule 74.
- The bill will be sent for scrutiny by a Joint Parliamentary Committee. A two-thirds majority in Parliament is required to pass a Constitutional Amendment Bill.
