In October 2024, Rs. 23.5 lakh crore in UPI transactions
- Digital money transactions in the country have now increased tremendously. From a tea shop to big shopping malls, UPI transactions are everywhere. In this case, in October 2024, an unprecedented Rs. 23.5 lakh crore has been transacted through UPI.
- This amount has increased in the period from April 2016 onwards. According to the data released by the National Payments Corporation of India, the number of transactions has increased by 10 percent and the amount of transactions has increased by 14 percent in October as compared to September.
- Daily transaction in October was Rs. 75,801 crore and in September it was worth Rs. 68,800 crore is also stated. IMPS remittance up to Rs. 6.29 lakh crore has happened. Fastag transactions also increased by 8% to Rs. 6,115 crores.
- According to a recent study, Indians spend more through UPI. Digital money transactions have doubled in March 2024 compared to last March 2021.
