Chief Minister M. K. Stalin launched the program to ensure nutrition
- The 'Ensure Nutrition' scheme was initially implemented in 2022 to eliminate malnutrition among children born in Tamil Nadu. According to the Tamil Nadu government, about 77.3% of the children diagnosed as severely malnourished have returned to normal.
- In continuation of this, the 2nd phase of the scheme will cost Rs. 22 crores in the Waranavasi Children's Center in Thirumanoor Union of Ariyalur District Principal M.K. Stalin started.
- 15 lactating mothers of newborn to 6 month old babies were given nutritional boxes. Under this scheme, 76,705 lactating mothers of children aged 0-6 months who have been found to be undernourished have been provided access to nutrition kits at their homes.
- Jayamkondam Industrial Park, Chipgat, Ariyalur District, is located on the Jayamkondam-Virudhachalam Road in Wodiyarpalalayam Taluk. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu laid the foundation stone for the shoe manufacturing factory which will be set up for 15,000 people with an investment of Rs.1000 Crores.
- In Tamil Nadu, Lubrisol and Ballyhos pharmaceutical companies have signed an MoU with the government to invest 200 crore rupees.
- A memorandum of understanding was signed between the government and the companies in the presence of Minister DRP Raja. These two companies are manufacturing high quality medical tubes and medicines in Tamil Nadu.
- Polyhose manufactures high-tech tubes for use in the nervous system and heart. Polyhose also manufactures tubes for dialysis treatment.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who attended the Tribal Honor Day celebrations in Jamui to mark the 150th birth anniversary of tribal leader Birsa Munda, released a commemorative coin and postage stamp in honor of Birsa Munda.
- He also attended the inauguration of 11,000 houses built for tribal families under the Prime Minister Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN).
- The Prime Minister inaugurated 23 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) under the PM-JANMAN scheme and 30 additional Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) scheme to improve access to healthcare in remote tribal areas. He inaugurated 10 Ekalavya model residential schools and 300 Development Kendras.
- Prime Minister Modi laid foundation stone for 500 km of new roads and 100 multi-purpose centers in tribal areas. Modi laid foundation stones for 25,000 new houses under PM-Janman, 1.16 lakh houses under DAJGUA and 370 hostels for tribal students.
- Group C teams Kerala and Haryana are playing at Chaudhary Panshilal Stadium in Rotak. In the first innings of this match, Kerala team were all out for 291 runs in 116.1 overs. Anshul Kamboj, who bowled 30.1 overs, conceded only 49 runs and took all the wickets.
- This is the third time a man has taken 10 wickets in an innings in the Ranji Trophy. Earlier, Bengal's Premangshu Chatterjee (10 wickets/20 runs) against Assam in 1956 and Rajasthan's Pradeep Sundaram (10 wickets/78 runs) against Vidarbha in 1985.
