Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi participated in Clean India Day 2024
- To mark the 10th anniversary of one of the most important people's movements for cleanliness, Swachh India Movement, the Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi participated.
- Mr. Modi launched various sanitation and hygiene projects worth Rs 9,600 crore including Amrut and Amrut 2.0, National Drive for Clean Ganga, Goparthan Project and laid foundation stone for new projects. The theme of Swachhaye Seva Movement-2024 is 'Cleanliness Habit, Cleanliness Culture.'
- The Union Home Ministry has released Rs.5,858.60 crore as the Union Government's share of the State Disaster Relief Fund and the National Disaster Recovery Fund advance to the 14 states affected by recent floods across the country.
- Maximum Rs 1,492 crore for Maharashtra, Rs 1,036 crore for Andhra Pradesh, Rs 716 crore for Assam, Rs 655.60 crore for Bihar, Rs 600 crore for Gujarat, Rs 468 crore for West Bengal, Rs 416.80 crore for Telangana and Rs 189.20 crore for Himachal Pradesh. crore, Rs 145.60 crore to Kerala, Rs 50 crore to Manipur, Rs 25 crore to Tripura, Rs 23.60 crore to Sikkim, Rs 21.60 crore to Mizoram and Rs 19.20 crore to Nagaland.
- 14,958 crore has already been released to 21 states this year alone. According to the Union Home Ministry, financial assistance of Rs 9,044.80 crore has been provided to 21 states through STRF, Rs 4,528.66 crore to 15 states through NTRF, and Rs 1,385.45 crore to 11 states from State Disaster Mitigation Fund (STMF).
- Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stone for new projects today. Inaugurating the Tribal Village Land Development Movement, Mr. Modi inaugurated 40 Ekalaiva Model Boarding Schools at a cost of Rs 2,800 crore. He laid the foundation stone of 25 Ekalaiva schools.
- He initiated and laid the foundation stones of various schemes under the Prime Minister's Janman scheme for tribal justice. The Prime Minister launched several schemes worth over Rs 1360 crore under the Prime Minister Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN).
