• 2024ம் ஆண்டிற்கான அமைதிக்கான நோபல் பரிசு / NOBEL PRIZE FOR PEACE 2024: இயற்பியல், வேதியியல், மருத்துவம், இலக்கியம், பொருளாதாரம் ஆகிய துறைகளில் முக்கிய பங்களிப்பை ஆற்றியவர்களுக்கும் அமைதிக்காக பாடுபட்டவா்களுக்கும் ஆண்டுதோறும் நோபல் பரிசு வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. 
• தங்கப் பதக்கம், சான்றிதழ் மற்றும் இந்திய மதிப்பில் ரூ.8.32 கோடி (10 லட்சம் டாலர்) ஆகியவை பரிசாக வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.
• கடந்த 1901-ம் ஆண்டிலிருந்து வழங்கப்பட்டு வரும் நோபல் பரிசை நிறுவியவர் ஸ்வீடனைச் சேர்ந்த ஆல்பிரட் நோபல். வேதியியல், பொறியியலில் நிபுணரான இவர், டைனமைட் வெடிபொருளைக் கண்டுபிடித்தார். 
• தனது கண்டுபிடிப்பின் மூலம் பெரும் செல்வந்தரான இவர் அறிவியல் கண்டுபிடிப்புகளை கெளரவிக்கும் வகையில் நோபல் பரிசை நிறுவினார். அவரது நினைவு தினமான டிச 10-ம் தேதி பரிசு வழங்கப்படும்.
• அந்த வகையில் இந்த ஆண்டுக்கான நோபல் பரிசுகள் 7-ந்தேதி முதல் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. மருத்துவம், இயற்பியல், வேதியியல், இலக்கியம் ஆகிய துறைகளுக்கான நோபல் பரிசு சமீபத்தில் அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில் இன்று (அக்.11) அமைதிக்கான நோபல் பரிசு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
• அதன்படி, 2024-ம் ஆண்டுக்கான அமைதிக்கான நோபல் பரிசு ஜப்பானைச் சேர்ந்த நிஹான் ஹிடாங்கியோ என்ற தொண்டு நிறுவனத்திற்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 
• அணு ஆயுதங்கள் இல்லாத உலகை உருவாக்குவதற்கு அந்த அமைப்பு எடுத்து வரும் முன்னெடுப்புகளை அங்கீகரிக்கும் விதமாக நோபல் பரிசு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
