Prime Minister of Jamaica meets PM Modi - 4 agreements signed
- Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness, who has arrived in India, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and held talks.
- Meanwhile, 4 MoUs have been signed between India and Jamaica on digital public infrastructure, digital financial transfer, cultural exchange and cooperation in the field of sports. It is noteworthy that this is the first bilateral visit by a Prime Minister of Jamaica to India.
- In September last year Rs. 1.62 lakh crore GST. While it was collected, it has increased by 6.5% this year. The overall GST collection in August of the same year was Rs 1.75 lakh crore. A little less than that.
- Collections from CGST, SGST, IGST and Cess also increased in September. The total GST collected so far in 2024 is 10.9 lakh crore. This is 9.5% higher than last year. In the same period last year, the overall collection was Rs.9.9 lakh crore.
- In April this year, the GST collection was an unprecedented Rs 2.10 lakh crore. The total GST in FY 2023-2024 is Rs. 20.18 lakh crore. This is an increase of 11.7% compared to last financial year.
