Paris Paralympics 2024 - Day 11
- Athlete Simran Sharma won a bronze medal in the women's 200m T12 race at the Paris Paralympics. India's Navdeep Singh finished second in the javelin event with a throw of 47.32 meters in the final round.
- It was initially announced that he had won the silver medal. Iran's Sadek Beit Saya was the first to throw the javelin with a distance of 47.64 meters and was declared the gold medalist. He used the flag of the banned movement as he celebrated after winning the gold.
- So he was stripped of his gold medal as it was a mistake according to the Paralympic rules. He has also been disqualified. As a result, Navdeep Singh, who won the silver medal, has been awarded the gold medal. He had recorded his best javelin throw in the Paralympics final.
