India-Kazakhstan Joint Military Exercise Kazind 2024
- The 8th edition of the India-Kazakhstan joint military exercise Kasind-2024 began today at the Surya Foreign Training Terminal in Ali, Uttarakhand. The exercise is scheduled to be held from September 30 to October 13, 2024.
- Joint exercise KAZIND-2024 has been conducted annually since 2016. The last edition of the joint exercise was held in Otar, Kazakhstan from 30 October to 11 November 2023.
- The central government has received ₹12,17,178 crore (38.0% of the 2024-25 budget of total receipts up to August 2024, of which ₹8,73,845 crore is tax revenue (net to central government), ₹3,34,467 crore is non-tax revenue and ₹8,866 crore is non-debt capital). Includes receipts.
- The Center has released Rs 4,55,717 crore as share of taxes to the state governments till this period, which is Rs 73,235 crore higher than the previous year.
- The total expenditure of the central government is ₹16,52,354 crore (34.3% of the 2024-25 budget), of which ₹13,51,367 crore is on revenue account and ₹3,00,987 crore on capital account.
- Of the total revenue expenditure, Rs 4,00,160 crore is provided for interest payments and Rs 1,78,625 crore for core grants.
