Tamil Nadu Govt, Tata Power agreement for accommodation for women employees
- A memorandum of understanding was signed in Chennai between the Tamil Nadu Industrial Housing Company and Tata Power to set up a shelter for 500 women working in the Tata Power plant in a residential complex to be set up at the 'Sipkot' Industrial Park, Gangaikondan, Tirunelveli District.
- Tamil Nadu government's CHIPCOAT and Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Fund Management Corporation have launched an agency called Tamil Nadu Industrial Housing in 2022 in collaboration with 'Tidal Park'.
- Tata Power Solar has set up a 'Solar PV Cell and Module' manufacturing plant on 313 acres at Chipgat Industrial Park, Gangaikondan, at an investment of Rs 4,300 crore. 80 percent of the workers there are women. Among them, an MoU was signed in the presence of Industry Minister Raja to set up a shelter for the benefit of 500 women workers.
- Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mr. Jagat Prakash Natta inaugurated the second edition of the Global Food Regulation Summit 2024 today at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi in the presence of Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Mr. Bralhad Joshi.
