'Vande Metro' train service renamed as 'Namo Bharat Rapid Train'
- The 'Vande Metro' train service launched by Prime Minister Modi in Gujarat has been renamed as 'Namo Bharat Rapid Train'. These trains are introduced as unreserved services with AC coaches throughout. 455 will be charged as the fare of this train which will run for a distance of 360 km between Ahmedabad – Bhuj.
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated the fourth Global Renewable Energy Investors Conference and Expo at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The 3-day summit honors key contributors to India's remarkable achievement of installing 200 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity.
- Mr. Modi also visited the exhibition showcasing state-of-the-art innovations by public and private sector companies, industrial companies and large industrial companies.
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated various development projects worth more than Rs.8,000 crore in the railway, road, power, housing and financial sectors in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Earlier, Mr Modi inaugurated India's first Namo Bharat Express between Ahmedabad and Bhuj.
- He also flagged off the first 20-coach Vande Bharat train from Nagpur to Secunderabad, Kolhapur to Pune, Agra Cantonment to Varanasi, Durg to Visakhapatnam, Pune to Hupally and Varanasi to Delhi.
- He also launched the Single Window Information Technology System of the International Financial Services Authority.
