• இந்தியாவில் வறுமை குறித்து ஆய்வு 2024 / STUDY ON POVERTY IN INDIA 2024: சோனால்டி தேசாய் தலைமையிலான என்சிஏஇஆர் என்ற அறிவு சார்ந்த பொருளாதார அமைப்பு ஆய்வு ஒன்றை நடத்தி அதன் முடிவுகளை 'Rethinking Social Safety Nets in a Changing Society' என்ற தலைப்பில் வெளியிட்டது.
• இந்திய மனித வளர்ச்சி கணக்கெடுப்பு (ஐஎச்டிஎஸ்) அடிப்படையில் இந்த அறிக்கை தயாரிக்கப்பட்டு உள்ளது.
• அந்த அறிக்கையில் கூறப்பட்டு உள்ளதாவது: ஐஎச்டிஎஸ் அடிப்படையில், இந்தியாவில் வறுமை தொடர்ந்து குறைந்து வருகிறது. 2004 - 2005 ல் 38.6 சதவீதமாக இருந்த வறுமை, 2011- 12 ல் 21.2 சதவீதமாக குறைந்தது. இது, கோவிட் பெருந்தொற்று ஏற்படுத்திய சவாலுக்கு மத்தியிலும் 2022- 2024 ல் மேலும் குறைந்து 8.5 சதவீதமாக குறைந்தது. 
• பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் வறுமைக் குறைவு ஆகியவை வேகமான சமூகப் பாதுகாப்புத் திட்டங்கள் தேவைப்படும் ஒரு சூழலை உருவாக்குகிறது.
• பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சியின் சகாப்தத்தில் வாய்ப்புகள் அதிகரிக்கும் போது நீண்ட காலமாக இருக்கும் வறுமை குறைய கூடும். வறுமையில் இருக்கும் மக்களை பொருளாதாரத்தில் உயர்வதற்காக வழிமுறைகளை செயல்படுத்தி வருகிறது. இதனால், வறுமை கணிசமாக குறைந்துள்ளது. இவ்வாறு அந்த அறிக்கையில் கூறப்பட்டு உள்ளது.

• STUDY ON POVERTY IN INDIA 2024: NCAER, a knowledge-based economy organization headed by Sonaldi Desai, conducted a study and published its findings under the title 'Rethinking Social Safety Nets in a Changing Society'.
• The report is based on the Indian Human Development Survey (IHDS). In terms of IHDS, poverty in India has continued to decline. Poverty decreased from 38.6 percent in 2004-2005 to 21.2 percent in 2011-12. 
• This further declines to 8.5 per cent in 2022-2024 despite the challenge posed by the Covid pandemic. Economic growth and poverty reduction create an environment that requires accelerated social protection programs.
• Long-standing poverty may decrease as opportunities increase in an era of economic growth. It is implementing mechanisms for economic upliftment of people living in poverty. As a result, poverty has reduced significantly. This is stated in the report.
