Found a ram made of ivory at the bottom
- On June 18, the 10th phase of excavation started on behalf of Tamil Nadu Archeology Department in Sivagangai District, Geezadi. So far only two pits have been excavated and found algae, glass beads, potsherds inscribed with Tamil script, potsherds with fish motifs, flint pots, etc. Now an elephant tusk has been discovered.
- The upper part of the ram is 1.3 cm in diameter and the lower part is 1.5 cm in diameter and 1.3 cm in height. Five rams have been found in various stages of excavation in the excavation carried out by the Tamil Archeology Department. All the goats are made of elephant tusk and look alike.
- It is assumed that all these may belong to the same period. The archeology department plans to use carbon dating to determine the age of the goat.
