Chief Minister M. K. Stalin announced Hosur International Airport
- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin announced on Thursday that an international airport will be set up in Hosur. The Chief Minister addressed the Legislative Assembly under Article 110 that it will be set up to handle 3 crore passengers a year.
- The Central Electricity Authority of the Union Ministry of Electricity, in collaboration with the National Federation of Electrical Safety Engineers, with the support of the Indian Standards Organization, organized an all-India Electrical Safety Awareness Program on June 26, specially designed for school students.
- The day was observed as "Electrical Safety Day". National Electricity Safety Week is observed next week. The theme of this year's E-Safety Awareness Program is "Safety Starts at School".
- More than 50 students from various schools of Delhi participated in the event, from the relevant departments of Electricity Public Sector Undertakings, District Administration, National Electricity Training Institute, Oil Production Companies, Central Public Works Department etc. The All India Electricity Safety Awareness Program is significant in promoting a culture of safety and awareness among people.
