• உலகின் தலைசிறந்த பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் பட்டியல் 2024 / WORLD TOP UNIVERSITIES RANKING 2024: லண்டனைச் சோ்ந்த குவாகரெல்லி சைமண்ட்ஸ் (க்யூஎஸ்) என்ற ஆய்வு நிறுவனம், தலைசிறந்த பல்கலைக்கழகங்களுக்கன தரவரிசைப் பட்டியலை ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் வெளியிட்டு வருகிறது. 
• அந்த வகையில் 2025ம் ஆண்டுக்கான தரவரிசைப் பட்டியலை அந் நிறுவனம் நேற்று வெளியிட்டது. ஆராய்ச்சி கட்டுரைகள் வெளியீடு, புதிய கண்டுபிடிப்புகளுக்கான முயற்சிகளை ஊக்குவித்தல் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு காரணிகளின் அடிப்படையில் இந்த ஆய்வு மேற்கொள்ளப்படுகிறது.
• உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள 104 நாடுகளைச் சோ்ந்த 1,500க்கும் அதிகமான உயா்கல்வி நிறுவனங்கள் இந்த ஆய்வுக்கு உட்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன. 
• அமெரிக்காவைச் சோ்ந்த மஸாசுசெட்ஸ் தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனம் (எம்ஐடி) தொடா்ந்து 13வது முறையாக இந்தப் பட்டியலில் முதலிடம் பிடித்துள்ளது. 
• இந்த தரவரிசைப் பட்டியலில் இந்தியாவைச் சோ்ந்த 46 உயா் கல்வி நிறுவனங்கள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. இதன் மூலம் ஆசிய அளவில் சிறந்த உயா்கல்வி நிறுவனங்கள் அதிகம் கொண்ட 3வது நாடு என்ற பெருமையை இந்தியா பெற்றுள்ளது.
• இந்த பட்டியலில் 71 உயா்கல்வி நிறுவனங்களுடன் சீனா முதலிடத்திலும், 49 உயா்கல்வி நிறுவனங்களுடன் ஜப்பான் 2வது இடத்தைவும் பிடித்துள்ளது. 
• இந்த தரவரிசைப் பட்டியலில் மும்பை ஐஐடி 118வது இடத்தில் உள்ளது. கடந்த ஆண்டில் 285வது இடத்தில் இருந்த சென்னை ஐஐடி, இந்த முறை 227வது இடத்துக்கு முன்னேறியுள்ளது. 
• அதேபோல் 427வது இடத்தில் இருந்த சென்னை அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகம், 383ம் இடத்துக்கு முன்னேறியுள்ளது.

• WORLD TOP UNIVERSITIES RANKING 2024: The London-based research firm Guacarelli Symonds (QS) publishes a ranking of top universities every year. In that way, the company released the ranking list for the year 2025 yesterday. 
• This study is based on various factors including publication of research articles, encouragement of innovation efforts.
• More than 1,500 higher education institutions from 104 countries across the world were surveyed. USA's Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has topped the list for the 13th time in a row. 
• This ranking list includes 46 higher education institutes from India. With this, India has got the honor of being the 3rd country with the best higher education institutes in Asia.
• The list is topped by China with 71 higher education institutions, followed by Japan with 49 higher education institutions. IIT Mumbai is ranked 118th in this ranking list. 
• IIT Chennai, which was ranked 285th last year, has moved up to 227th this time. Similarly, Anna University, Chennai, which was at the 427th position, has moved up to the 383rd position.
