Vishwakarma Award for Chennai Metro Rail
- The Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), established by the Central Government in association with the industry, acts as a representative body that actively engages various elements of the Indian construction industry.
- In recognition of the vital contribution of the Chennai Metro Rail Corporation, the 15th Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) Vishwakarma Awards have been presented to the Chennai Metro Rail Corporation in various categories.
- The award is given to the best construction projects, recognizing the best effort in project execution. The award recognizes India's best metro rail service, providing advanced infrastructure that meets the needs of the community, and playing a key role in improving urban transport infrastructure. Metro Rail has been recognized with awards in various categories.
- A Thought Sharing (Parivarthan Sindan) conference (08 April 2024) aimed at discussing new ideas, initiatives and reforms related to enhancing joint and coordinated efforts of the tri-services was held in New Delhi.
- The one-day conference was chaired by the Commander of the Triforces, General Anil Chauhan. Structures are being modified to accommodate the multi-functionality of the tri-armies. Efforts to improve joint integration are ongoing.
- In this context, this conference is the first of its kind to be held by the heads of tri-service organizations, the Department of Military Affairs, the Joint Defense Staff and the heads of the tri-services.
