The President inaugurated the Homeopathy Seminar on the occasion of World Homeopathy Day
- President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu inaugurated the two-day Homeopathic Seminar organized by the Central Council for Homeopathic Research in New Delhi today (April 10, 2024) on the occasion of World Homeopathy Day.
- Speaking on the occasion, the President said that homeopathy is being followed in many countries as a simple and easily accessible method of treatment.
- He said that many organizations are promoting homeopathy all over the world, at international, national and local levels, and praised the Ministry of AYUSH, Central Homeopathic Research Council, National Homeopathic Commission, National Institute of Homeopathy and all organizations of the Central Government for promoting homeopathic medicine in India.
- National Thermal Power Corporation has launched a new initiative of Women Empowerment Movement as its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
- From April 2024, about 3,000 skilled girl children from disadvantaged sections of the society will be inducted in 42 identified places in the power sector, public sector, under the new initiative of women empowerment. The total number of children who will benefit from this movement will exceed 10,000.
- So far, a total of 7,424 girls have benefited. The number of participants is steadily increasing every year. In 2023 alone, 2,707 women participated in the workshop at 40 locations of the National Thermal Power Corporation spread across 16 states in India.
- The movement focuses on empowering girls through various interventions. It aims to identify and develop their leadership qualities. So that they can be prepared for the future. This workshop focuses on health, hygiene, safety, fitness, sports and yoga.
