Chief Minister Stalin launched the program 'Neengal Nalama'
- The Chief Minister M.K. Stalin started today. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin today inaugurated the website created for the implementation of the "Neengal Nalama'' scheme launched by the Tamil Nadu government.
- In a program held on March 6 in Bihar's West Champaran district, he inaugurated various projects related to road, rail, petroleum and natural gas sectors in the state.
- He also inaugurated the Indian Oil Company's 109 km long gas pipeline project between Muzaffarpur-Moitari to benefit not only Bihar but also the people of neighboring Nepal.
- It is noteworthy that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not participate in the event attended by the Prime Minister. Bihar Governor Rajendra V Arlekar, Bihar Deputy Chief Ministers Samath Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha attended the event.
- West Bengal's Kolkata has launched the country's first underwater metro train service. The underwater metro rail line is laid under the Hooghly River at a depth of about 16 meters below the river water level.
- The metro rail line has been constructed under the Hooghly river for a distance of 520 meters at a cost of Rs.4,965 crores and a length of 4.8 km. - As part of the central government's overall effort to strengthen national institutions to develop capacity and expertise at par with global firms and empower 'Make in India' in dam safety, the Central Water Commission, Department of Water Resources, Rivers Development and Ganges Cleanup, Ministry of Water Resources, along with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore for Dams Signed MoU for establishment of International Center of Excellence.
- These works are being carried out under Phase II and III of the Dams Reconstruction and Development Programme. This MoU shall be valid for a period of 10 years from the date of signing or for the duration of Phase II and Phase III of the Dams Reconstruction and Development Project, whichever is earlier.
- The International Center of Excellence for Dams will function as the technical arm of the Ministry of Water Resources to provide specialist technical support in the areas of enquiries, design, research, innovation and technical support services to Indian and foreign dam owners.
- The center will work to support the ministry on dam safety and provide solutions to various emerging challenges faced in dam safety through scientific research.
- NLC India has incorporated its own subsidiary NLC India Green Energy Company to execute future renewable energy projects. This subsidiary will focus specifically on renewable energy projects.
- Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam has won the tender for 600 MW solar power project at Kawda Solar Park through a competitive bidding process. In line with the policy of developing renewable energy projects, project development has been entrusted to this company.
- In a first, NLC India Green Energy Corporation has signed a power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam for the proposed 600 MW solar power project at Kawda Solar Park in Gujarat's Bhuj district. Entire power of this project will be procured by GUVNL.
- The proposed 600 MW solar power project at Kawda Solar Park is the largest solar power project developed by NLCIL till date.
