16th century Middle Stone found near Oodhangarai
- A 16th century middle stone has been found near Uthangarai. Krishnagiri District, Oodhangarai Circle, Sennanur area near Gunnathur has been selected for archaeological excavation by Tamil Nadu Government.
- At Manthop, 300 m from this place, between two palm trees, a 16th century middle stone has been found. This center stone depicts a warrior holding a spear in his right hand and a shield in his left hand. The floral design on the shield is clear.
- Prime Minister Modi is on a 2-day official visit to Bhutan. When Prime Minister Modi landed at Barrow International Airport, the country's Prime Minister Shering Topkai welcomed Indian Prime Minister Modi with a warm embrace.
- Modi later accepted the country's military honours. In a program held following this, Prime Minister Modi was honored with Bhutan's highest award 'Order of the Druk Gyalbo'. It was presented by King Jigme Kesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan. Prime Minister Modi became the first foreigner to receive this award.

- Jayant Murthy retired as a scientist at NASA, the American space research agency, till 2011. His research focused on asteroids including Pluto. In particular, he focused on measuring the cosmic ultraviolet background.
- His research focused on observing astrophysical changes in the outer solar system. After retiring from NASA, he currently teaches astrophysics as a professor emeritus.
- An asteroid orbits in space between Mars and Jupiter in a circular orbit. This asteroid, which takes 3 years and 3 months to orbit the Sun, has been called '2005 EX296' (2005 EX296). Currently, it has been named '(215884) Jayantmurthy' by the International Astronomical Union in honor of Indian astrophysicist Jayant Murthy.
