• 2024ம் ஆண்டுக்கான அவ்வையார் விருது / AVVAIYAR AWARD 2024: பெண்களுக்காக கல்வி, மருத்துவம், மகளிர் முன்னேற்றம், மகளிர் உரிமை, மத நல்லிணக்கத்தை ஊக்குவித்தல், தமிழுக்கான சேவை, கலை, இலக்கியம், அறிவியல், பத்திரிகை மற்றும் நிrவாகம் ஆகிய பல்வேறு துறைகளில் முன்மாதிரியாக தொண்டாற்றிய பெண்களை ஊக்குவிக்கும் வகையில் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் சர்வதேச மகளிர் தினத்தன்று சமூக நலன் மற்றும் மகளிர் உரிமைத் துறை சார்பில் 2012 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் தமிழ்நாடு அரசால் "ஔவையார் விருது" வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
• இவ்விருது பெறுவோருக்கு 1 இலட்சத்து 50 ஆயிரம் ரூபாய்க்கான காசோலை மற்றும் சான்றிதழ் வழங்கப்படும். அவ்வகையில், சர்வதேச மகளிர் தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் 2024-ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான ஔவையார் விருதினை இலக்கியத்தின் மூலமாக தலித் மக்களின் குரலாக ஒலித்து. 
• சமூக தொண்டாற்றி வரும், முன்னணி எழுத்தாளரான விருதுநகர் மாவட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்த திருமிகு. பாஸ்டினா சூசைராஜ் (எ) பாமா அவர்களுக்கு தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்களின் ஆணைக்கிணங்க தமிழ்நாடு அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது.

• AVVAIYAR AWARD 2024: Department of Social Welfare and Women's Rights on International Women's Day every year to encourage women who have made exemplary contributions in the fields of education, medicine, women's advancement, women's rights, promotion of religious harmony, service to Tamils, arts, literature, science, journalism and administration. "Auvaiyar Award" is being conferred by the first Tamil Nadu Government.
• The awardee will receive a check of Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand and a certificate. Thus, on the occasion of International Women's Day, the Auvaiyar Award of the Tamil Nadu Government for the year 2024 is given as the voice of the Dalit people through literature. 
• Thirumiku from Virudhunagar district, a leading writer and social activist. The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced the appointment of Bastina Susairaj (A) Bama as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
