• இந்திய காசநோய் 2023 அறிக்கை / TUBERCULOSIS IN INDIA REPORT 2023: இந்தியாவில் காசநோய் என்பது கி.மு. 1500 இருந்து இருப்பதாக வரலாற்றுப் பதிவுகள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன. இந்த நோயை ஒழிப்பதற்கான 'தேசியக் காசநோய் ஒழிப்பு' திட்டம் 50 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக இயங்கி வருகிறது. 
• இருப்பினும், ஒரு காலத்தில் ஏழைகளின் நோய் என்று அறியப்பட்ட காசநோய், தற்போது அனைவரையும் பாதிக்கும் ஒன்றாக மாறிவிட்டது.
• 'கடந்த ஆண்டு இந்தியாவில் 25.55 லட்சம் பேர் காசநோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பது தெரிய வந்தது. 1960-ஆம் ஆண்டுகளில் தேசிய காசநோய் ஒழிப்பு திட்டம் தொடங்கப்பட்ட நிலையில், முதல் முறையாக 25.55 லட்சம் பேருக்கு மேல் காசநோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர் என அதிர்ச்சி தகவல் வெளியாகி உள்ளது.
• 25.5 லட்சம் பேரில் 8.4 லட்சத்துக்கும் அதிகமானோர் காசநோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பது தனியார் மருத்துவமனைகள் மூலம் தெரியவந்தது. 
• காசநோயால் உயிரிழப்போரின் விகிதம் 2015-ஆம் ஆண்டுடன் ஒப்பிடுகையில், தற்போது 18 சதவீதம் குறைந்துள்ளது என்று தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• TUBERCULOSIS IN INDIA REPORT 2023: Tuberculosis in India has been around since BC. Historical records suggest that it dates back to 1500. The 'National Tuberculosis Eradication' program to eradicate the disease has been running for more than 50 years. However, tuberculosis, once known as a disease of the poor, has now become one that affects everyone.
• Last year, 25.55 lakh people were affected by tuberculosis in India. When the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program was launched in the 1960s, for the first time, more than 25.55 lakh people have been infected with tuberculosis.
• Out of 25.5 lakh people, more than 8.4 lakh people were diagnosed with tuberculosis through private hospitals. It is reported that the rate of death due to tuberculosis has decreased by 18 percent compared to 2015.
