பச்மரி உயிர்க்கோளக் காப்பகம் / PACHAMARI BIOSPHERE RESERVE: சுமார் 4926 ச.கி.மீட்டர் பரப்பளவைக் கொண்ட இக்காப்பகம் போரி வன விலங்கு சரணாலயம், பச்மரி வனவிலங்கு சரணலாயம் மற்றும் சாத்புரா தேசியப்பூங்காவையும் 510 கிராமங்களையும் கொண்டுள்ளது.
மத்தியப் பிரதேசத்தில் உள்ள இக்காப்பகம் 1999ஆம் ஆண்டு உயிர்க்கோளக் காப்பகமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
இக்காப்பகத்தில் உள்ள பாதல்கோட் என்ற ஆதிவாசி குக்கிராமம் மாந்தரியல் வல்லுனர்களின் சொர்க்க பூமியாக திகழ்கிறது.
போரி வனப்பகுதியில் 1862ஆம் ஆண்டு அறிவியல் முறைப்படி வனப்பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் மேலாண்மை மேற்கொண்டதின் விளைவாக இந்தியாவில் முதன் முதலாக வனத்துறை நிறுவ அடிகோலிடப்பட்டது.
தாவரங்கள்
பச்மரி உயிர்க்கோளக் காப்பகம் / PACHAMARI BIOSPHERE RESERVE: தேக்கு மற்றும் சால் மரவகைகள் இக்காப்பகத்தில் மிகுந்து காணப்படுகின்றன.
இலையுதிர் மற்றும் பகுதி வெப்ப மண்டலக் காடுகளைக் கொண்ட இவ்வுயிர்க்கோளத்தில் 30 வகையான தாலோபைட்டுகள், 83 வகையான பாசிகள், 21 வகையான விதைகளற்ற தாவரங்கள் மற்றும் 7 வகையான பூவா தாவரங்கள் காணப்படுகின்றன.
இது தாவரவியலாளர்களின் சொர்க்க பூமியாக விளங்குகிறது. விதைகளற்ற 71 தாவர வகைகளில், 48 வகையான பெரணிகள் காணப்படுகின்றன.
விலங்குகள்
பச்மரி உயிர்க்கோளக் காப்பகம் / PACHAMARI BIOSPHERE RESERVE: இக்காப்பகத்தில் 50 வகையான பாலூட்டிகள், 254 வகையான பறவைகள் மற்றும் 30 வகையான ஊர்வன போன்றவை கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளன.
பாம்புதிண்ணிக் கழுகு, கருங்கழுகு, சிகப்பு காட்டுக்கோழி, மலபார் மலை மொங்கான், பறக்கும் அணில், கடமான், சிறுத்தை மற்றும் புலி போன்ற விலங்கினங்கள் காணப்படுகின்றன.
தொல்லியல் பாரம்பரியம்
பச்மரி உயிர்க்கோளக் காப்பகம் / PACHAMARI BIOSPHERE RESERVE: இக்காப்பகத்திலுள்ள அனேக குகைகளில் காணப்படும் சுமார் 250 ஆண்டுகள் பழமையான பாறை ஓவியங்களிலிருந்து இங்கு பத்தாயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் மனிதன் வாழ்ந்திருப்பதை அறிய முடிகிறது.
இப்பாறை ஓவியங்கள் தற்போது கேட்பாரற்று அழிந்து வரும் தருவாயில் உள்ளது. நாகபஞ்சமி மற்றும் மகாசிவராத்திரியின் பொழுது சுமார் 12,000க்கும் மேற்பட்ட யாத்திரீகர்கள் சிவனை தரிசிக்க வருகிறார்கள். அத்தகைய புனித சிவதலமாக பச்மரியைச் சுறறியுள்ள மலைகள் விளங்குகின்றன.

பச்மரி உயிர்க்கோளக் காப்பகம் / PACHAMARI BIOSPHERE RESERVE: அரிதான மூலிகை செடிகள் அகற்றுதல், உண்ணு போன்ற களைச்செடிகள் அதிகரிப்பு, மண்அரிப்பு, நீர்நிலைகள் தூர்ந்து போதல் மற்றும் வேட்டையாடுதல் போன்றவை பெரும் அச்சுறுத்தல்களாகும்.
ENGLISH
PACHAMARI BIOSPHERE RESERVE: Covering an area of about 4926 sq. km, the reserve comprises Bori Wildlife Sanctuary, Pachmari Wildlife Sanctuary and Satpura National Park and 510 villages.
This reserve in Madhya Pradesh was declared a Biosphere reserve in 1999. The adivasi village of Badalkot in this reserve is a paradise for Mandarial experts. In the year 1862, scientific forest conservation and management in Bori forest area resulted in establishment of the first forest department in India.
Plants
PACHAMARI BIOSPHERE RESERVE: Teak and Sal trees are abundant in this reserve. 30 species of thallophytes, 83 species of mosses, 21 species of angiosperms and 7 species of povia are found in this biome of deciduous and subtropical forests.
It is a botanist's paradise. Out of 71 species of seedless plants, 48 species are giants.
Animals
PACHAMARI BIOSPHERE RESERVE: 50 species of mammals, 254 species of birds and 30 species of reptiles have been identified in this reserve. Fauna like viper eagle, black eagle, red grouse, Malabar hill mongan, flying squirrel, moose, leopard and tiger are seen.
Archaeological heritage
PACHAMARI BIOSPHERE RESERVE: From the 250-year-old rock paintings found in many caves in this reserve, it is possible to know that man lived here ten thousand years ago.
These rock paintings are now on the verge of extinction. More than 12,000 pilgrims visit Lord Shiva during Nagapanchami and Mahashivaratri. The hills surrounding Pachmari are considered to be such a holy place of Shiva.
Threats
PACHAMARI BIOSPHERE RESERVE: Removal of rare herbaceous plants, increase of weeds such as weeds, soil erosion, erosion of water bodies and poaching are major threats.
