• தமிழ்நாடு மாநில மகளிர் கொள்கை 2024 / TAMILNADU STATE WOMEN POLICY 2024: தமிழ்நாட்டில் மகளிர் நலனை மேம்படுத்திடும் வகையில் சமூக நலன் மற்றும் மகளிர் உரிமைத் துறையால் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட 'தமிழ்நாடு மாநில மகளிர் கொள்கை 2024' - யை முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் வெளியிட்டார்.

• TAMILNADU STATE WOMEN POLICY 2024: Chief Minister M. K. Stalin released the 'Tamil Nadu State Women's Policy 2024' prepared by the Department of Social Welfare and Women's Rights to improve the welfare of women in Tamil Nadu.
• Among them, the women's policy includes reducing the dropout rate of girls, improving the health and nutritional status of adolescent girls and women.
• The women's policy also includes increasing women's participation in employment, ensuring safe and conducive workplaces for women workers in all organized and non-organized occupations, supporting new business ventures, promoting digital literacy and reducing the digital gender gap.
• Also, reducing the skill gap among women, facilitating more access to bank loans for women, and encouraging women to participate in the political arena. In a statement issued by the government in this regard, the overall development of the community can be assessed with the development of women in the society.
• For this purpose, to eliminate gender discrimination, to create a safe environment for women and to improve the status of women, the Government of Tamil Nadu has planned various welfare programs and implemented them in a systematic manner, making Tamil Nadu the premier state.
• Based on the vision, the State Women's Policy has been formulated on the basis of social justice, equality and empowerment of women. This policy will remain in force for 10 years or until the next new policy is formulated. Also, provision has been made for review after five years.
