2023ம் ஆண்டிற்கான ஐசிசி விருது / ICC AWARDS 2023: ஐசிசி தரப்பில் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் சிறந்த வீரருக்கான விருது வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. அந்த வகையில் 3 வடிவங்களுக்கும் சேர்த்து சிறந்த ஒருநாள் கிரிக்கெட் வீரர், சிறந்த டி20 கிரிக்கெட் வீரர், சிறந்த டெஸ்ட் கிரிக்கெட் வீரர், ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக சிறந்த கிரிக்கெட் வீரர், சிறந்த அறிமுக வீரர்களுக்கான விருது என்று பல்வேறு வகையான விருதுகள் வழங்கப்படும்.
ஐசிசி தரப்பில் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் வழங்கப்படும் சிறந்த அறிமுக வீரருக்கான விருதை நியூசிலாந்து அணியின் ரச்சின் ரவீந்திரா கைப்பற்றி அசத்தியுள்ளார்.
வியாழன் (ஜனவரி 25) அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட ஐசிசி விருதுகளில் , கேப்டனாகவும், வீரராகவும் 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டு வெற்றியை அனுபவித்தார்.
ஆஸ்திரேலிய கேப்டன் பாட் கம்மின்ஸ் இந்த ஆண்டின் சிறந்த கிரிக்கெட் வீரராக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டார்
விராட் கோலி இந்த ஆண்டின் சிறந்த ஒருநாள் கிரிக்கெட் வீரராக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டார். சராசரியாக 72 மற்றும் ஸ்ட்ரைக் ரேட் 99 இல் 1377 ரன்களை எடுத்தார். 35 வயதான சச்சின் டெண்டுல்கரின் உலகக் கோப்பையின் போது அதிக ஒருநாள் சதம் அடித்தவர் என்ற சாதனையையும் முறியடித்தார்.
இந்த ஆண்டின் சிறந்த டெஸ்ட் கிரிக்கெட் வீரர் விருதை உஸ்மான் கவாஜா வென்றார். 2023ல் 1000 ரன்களை கடந்த ஒரே பேட்டர் இடது கை வீரர் மற்றும் மூன்று சதங்கள் மற்றும் 6 அரைசதங்களுடன் 52 என்ற ஆரோக்கியமான சராசரியுடன் 1210 ரன்களை எடுத்தார்.

இதற்கிடையில், ஆஸ்திரேலியர்கள் ஐசிசியின் ஆண்டின் சிறந்த டெஸ்ட் அணியில் பிரபலமடைந்தனர். WTC சாம்பியன்கள் XI இல் ஐந்து உறுப்பினர்களைக் கொண்டிருந்தனர், மேலும் பாட் கம்மின்ஸ் அணியை வழிநடத்தினார்.

ICC AWARDS 2023: Australian captain Pat Cummins, who enjoyed an enviably successful 2023 both as captain and player, won the men's Player of the Year at the ICC Awards that were announced on Thursday (January 25).
Apart from leading Australia to the ODI World Cup title, Cummins also oversaw the World Test Championship glory while also retaining the urn with a drawn Ashes series in England.
Complementing his leadership success was his bowling excellence as Cummins finished as the sixth highest wicket-taker across formats in 2023. In Tests, he was second only to teammate Nathan Lyon in the wicket-takers list. There were also some crisis knocks with the bat. Like the Edgbaston Test and the support roles in the World Cup against Afghanistan and South Africa (semifinal).
Virat Kohli was adjudged the men's ODI Cricketer of the Year. He had a stellar year with the bat, tallying 1377 runs at an average of 72 and strike rate of 99. He was the second highest run-scorer in the year for 50-over cricket behind teammate Shubman Gill but Kohli's phenomenal World Cup campaign where he tallied a record-breaking 765 runs was influential in him grabbing the honours. The 35-year-old also went past Sachin Tendulkar's record for the most ODI hundreds during the World Cup.
Usman Khawaja fittingly won the men's Test Cricketer of the Year award. His comeback swelled to historic proportions as he ended 2023 as the highest run-scorer in the longest format for the year. The left-hander was the only batter to breach the 1000-run mark in 2023 and tallied 1210 runs at a healthy average of 52 with three centuries and six fifties. Behind him in the run-scoring chart were his Australian teammates in Steve Smith, Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne in that order.
Nat Sciver-Brunt had another exceptional year and was awarded women's Cricketer of the Year for the second successive time. She didn't top the run charts in either ODIs or T20Is but that was largely due to her not featuring in every game for England. Injuries and workload management had a say in this but in the games that she did play, Sciver-Brunt's consistency was phenomenal. She played in just six ODIs, batted five times and registered three centuries with an overall strike rate of 107 for the year. In T20Is, the story was similar, as the 31-year-old aggregated 364 runs from just 10 innings at an average of 45 and strike rate of 135.
Just as impactful as the Englishwoman was Chamari Athapaththu who was named the women's ICC ODI cricketer of the year. The Sri Lankan captain was the only batter among those who crossed 400-plus runs in 2023 to have a strike-rate of above 100. She struck at 125, comfortably the best for any player and the pace of scoring coupled with her consistency was pivotal to Sri Lanka's successes, notably the ODI series win at home against New Zealand.
A stellar 2023 where he finished as the highest run-scorer in T20Is among Full Member nations has seen Suryakumar Yadav bag the men's T20I cricketer of the year award for the second time.
A truly breakthrough year where he lit up the 2023 ODI World Cup has resulted in New Zealand batter Rachin Ravindra winning the men's emerging player of the year award.
Australian Phoebe Litchfield was awarded the women's emerging player of the year.
West Indies captain Hayley Matthews capped off an excellent year by taking home the women's T20I cricketer of the year award.
Matthews is the second West Indies player to bag the award after Stafanie Taylor in 2015.
A key component behind Netherlands qualifying for the main draw of the 2023 ODI World Cup, Bas de Leede has been named the men's associate cricketer of the year.
Meanwhile, Kenyan allrounder Queentor Abel has been crowned the women's associate cricketer of the year.

ICC AWARDS 2023: The 2023 ODI World Cup runner-up India dominated the ODI team of the year released by ICC. Rohit Sharma was named captain of the side which had as many as six Indians in the XI. The Australians meanwhile hogged the limelight in ICC's Test team of the year. The WTC champions had five members in the XI with Pat Cummins leading the side.
Chamari Athapaththu was named captain of the women's ODI team of the year which had five Australians in the mix. No Indian found a place in the ICC's women's team of the year. Athapaththu was also named captain of the women's T20I team of the year.
